Description

It's time for CUBE's annual flagship event - Bio-Medical Engineering Compeition 2015. And this year we decided to shake things up a bit by splitting the event into two competitions - Junior Design and Senior Consulting. The themes for this year's events are....

Junior Design (1st & 2nd year) -
While the number of new cancer cases in Canada will continue to rise steadily with growth and ageing, the 5-year survival rate for all types of cancers has increased to 63%...

Senior Consulting (3rd & 4th year) -
Today there are over 50,000 Canadians with Cerebral Palsy (CP), a group of nervous system disorders that cause muscle contractions, difficulty with motor skills and other developmental disabilities that add barriers to them leading independent lives.

Participants can register for the competition in groups of up to 4 people, and only 1 registration is required per team. We welcome students from all the engineering disciplines as well as from other faculties to take part in this event. A refundable registration fee of $20 is required to secure your spot which can be made payable to Martin Par (647-825-8430) at the Mech Club Office (MB 225B).
